Weekend Rewind

This past weekend: BART rides, 1 hour long dance parties in San Jose, vintage clothing, random run-ins, running out of gas, trekking through The Hills Have Eyes, a futile attempt at a Blow Up drive-by, longings for bacon-covered hot dogs, Safeway at 3 am, the discovery that you can make your own peanut butter at said Safeway, crepes & frites, my 1st IMAX experience, empty bars, 330 Rich, Patron shots and the tipsy dancing that followed, after parties that went nowhere, 3 am Super burritos, Potrero Hill, an elusive 6 am after party which we didn't make, and getting home at 6:15 in the morning.

I watched the movie, Blindness on Thursday night and I have one recommendation: DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE. Save your $10 for 10 double cheeseburgers or 2 beers in the clurb or anything else your heart desires, just don't see this movie. I was expecting some type of suspense-filled thriller type movie a la M. Night Shyamalan but I was wrong. Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo couldn't even save this movie from it's awful plot and message. The gist: There is an outbreak of blindness and those afflicted have been quarantined by the government. Eventually the whole world goes blind except for Julianne Moore's character. What follows is a look at human nature when all sight (including moral) is taken away.
If you want to watch a real thriller I would recommend Eagle Eye starring Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan instead. (Julianne Moore is also in this film as the voice of ARIA, though she is uncredited.)

If anything, watch Eagle Eye for Shia LaBeouf. Some eye candy:

Look how adorable he is even in his mug shot. Haha. Seriously, though :/

xoxo,
Cynthia
