If it is fried… I will eat it.

I am a foodie, but not a snobbish or picky one. I watch Top Chef with a passion, The Food Network is one of my go-to channels while lounging in front of the tube, I read the Food section of The Chronicle every Wednesday, I am on the lookout for new restaurants to try, and I debate the actualities of Rachel Ray’s $40 a Day. Can she really spend $40 a day dining out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (sometimes with enough money for a snack) in cities such as New York or San Francisco??? I think not. Rachel Ray, you are a liar!

Most nights of the week, I do eat out. By the end of the week, my Comme des Garçons wallet does feel a little bit emptier. Fortunately, thanks in part to my job; I’m able to dine at some of the more swanky restaurants in San Francisco such as Boulevard or Two (formerly Hawthorne Lane) without spending a penny. Thanks job! No matter how much I enjoy a nice steak with pan-fried string beans and truffle mashed potatoes, I will not hesitate to scarf down some KFC fried chicken, a couple of crispy tacos, or some French fries.

Much to my delight, I stumbled upon this while reading the San Francisco Eater blog.

This is The Waterbar’s version of fish and chips! A whole fried fish on top of a bed of French fries. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! This rock cod fish is only served during lunchtime and at $28, it will set you back a few dollars. Some might be squeamish seeing the whole intact fish on their plate but I’m not, I’m Chinese. Thanks.

Somebody, please take me!

xoxo,
Cynthia

Ahh! That's like, borderline creepy, borderline delicious!

Your post reminds me of Ferg's song: "Taco Bell, gross as hell, I don't care, I'm still real..." haha
